Commercial Audio Post for Knack Factory
A long-running collaboration supporting commercial, branded-content and episodic work across broadcast, social and web.
The Challenge
Commercial and branded work has to survive several kinds of scrutiny at once. The idea needs to land creatively, dialogue and music need to remain clear, the client has to approve it, and the finished mix has to translate across platforms that may range from broadcast to social and web.
For Knack Factory, that relationship extends beyond individual spots into the TV series Up The Hearts, where episode-to-episode consistency and broadcast readiness are part of the same audio-post responsibility.
The Approach
MelonCollie Productions supports the work by treating editorial, design and mix as one connected process rather than isolated tasks. Dialogue is shaped for clarity, sound design is used to strengthen the picture without crowding the idea, and music is balanced around the narrative and brand priorities of each piece.
Versioning and platform delivery are handled as part of the job—not as an afterthought after the “real mix” is finished. That matters when the same creative needs to work in several runtimes or destinations without sounding like a compromised copy of the hero version.
The Outcome
Knack Factory president and senior producer Kurt Graser describes MelonCollie as an “incredible creative partner” and credits the collaboration with elevating the sound quality of the company’s commercial and branded work across broadcast, social and web.
He also points to MelonCollie’s role on Up The Hearts, helping keep each episode balanced, immersive and broadcast-ready. The value is not a single dramatic technical trick; it is having audio post consistently support the project from creative intent through delivery.
“Bob has been instrumental in elevating the sound quality of our commercial and branded work—ensuring that everything we produce sounds perfect across all platforms, from broadcast to social to web.”
